Title An EBG Frame for Planar Phased Array

Abstract

The effect of an EBG frame around a planar phased array is investigated in this paper. Radiation pattern measurements, with and without EBG, of a single element and the full array are shown. It is shown that the EBG frame significantly reduces the diffraction from any discontinuities around the array.
