Title
Sentinel-3 SLSTR In-Orbit Performance and Calibration - Early Results
Abstract
The instrument and mission teams have prepared a detailed plan for evaluating and optimizing the in-orbit performance of the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer. Level-0 and level-1 data products will be used to characterize the performance of the signal channel noise, dynamic range, and calibration; scan mechanism performance, instrument thermometry, blackbodies and visible calibration system at the start of the mission. Importantly the results will be compared against the pre-flight calibration data to determine any changes from ground-to-orbit. In this paper the authors present the available results of the early in-orbit characterization of the instrument performance and the impact on the calibration.
