Abstract

This chapter presents the theoretical and practical considerations for the analysis and design of phased array antennas, providing the antenna designer an overview of the basic design concepts and the means to determine parameters and performances for a given application. This chapter is an updating of that prepared for the previous editions by Ray Tang and Richard Burns (Hughes Aicraft Co.) and by R.C. Hansen (R.C. Hansen, Inc.)
