Title
Communication aspects in wireless passive sensing on spacecrafts
Abstract
This study aims to provide a complete characterization of the electro-magnetic environmental conditions that an integrated wireless monitoring system for remote temperature measurement has to face in space missions. After realizing a demonstrative test to validate the feasibility of the wireless passive sensors technology for application on aerospace platforms and showing the advantageous of adopting the proposed innovative solution with respect to a current cabled system, the main purpose of this work is to deeply examine the radiofrequency carrier for the communication link which the analyzed wireless passive sensors operation is based on. The study includes all those aspects related to the RF signal communication for the measured data gathering, also considering the electromagnetic configuration that characterizes the devoted RF cavity environment where the measurements are performed.
