Titolo Falco Xplorer approach to Model-Driven Engineering: Experimental Prototyping versus Formal Qualification

Abstract

The development of safety critical systems requires development teams to be flexible with respect to inputs from customers and testing activities, but at the same time rigorous with respect to the processes to be implemented. To meet these needs, a "cultural leap" is often required by the development teams with respect to the processes and methodologies to be adopted. Model-Driven Engineering is the solution adopted and implemented by the Leonardo Falco Xplorer UAS development teams.
