On the 7th of November 2019, Leonardo attended the ESA TTP workshop organized to promote collaboration between local industries and to encourage the transfer of space technologies to non-space applications as well as their commercial use.
The workshop was organized by RINA Consulting and sponsored by the Lombardia Aerospace Cluster and Lombardy industrial associations (Bergamo, Varese and Brescia); RINA Consulting is the official Italian Broker of the ESA Technology Transfer Programme Office (ESA TTPO).
During the workshop day, our colleagues of CTIO - Technology Transfer Team attended two matchmaking sessions (Morning/Afternoon) divided on three working tables each; during these sessions technical needs of terrestrial industries and how to address them from solutions originally developed for space were discussed.
LEONARDO contributed to the technology offer with some of its patented solutions in Aerospace sector; these will be included in the database of ESA Technology Transfer Program and subject to follow-on initiatives.
